The Health Professionals Report 2023 provides a comprehensive overview per health profession working within the Belgian health insurance system, within hospital and ambulatory settings.
Several aspects are covered from a professional perspective, namely: accessibility, patient base, workload, de facto subspecialties, replacement rates. Those aspects are described by different criteria (gender, age, geographical distribution by workplace, type of activity, evolution).
Several patient perspectives are covered as well, such as accessibility and frequentation (described by gender, age, social status, geographical distribution by the insured person's domicile, evolution).
This chapter concerns the following disciplines: nursing and midwifery. These reports are currently available in English only. French and Dutch versions are planned for later this year.
